This year, the long-running, highly successful annual Edale Country Day will be held on Sunday 8th June. We are back to pre-Covid scale at last! Many large and small businesses have sponsored this charitable event which attracts people from the Peak District and nearby cities. With good weather, we can expect over 1,500 visitors. We are hoping for a very good attendance this year as the Accelerate Fell Race has added a junior heat that has accredited for national qualifiers. This is also the first time that both primary schools, which federated together in 2020, have promoted the event together.
Edale Country Day is unique in uniting local businesses and the whole community to support the primary schools and the Village Hall. All the profits are divided between developing facilities for these essential village amenities.

In return for your sponsorship you will receive the following on Country Day:
- promotion of your business through logo placement on the local heroes board by the main ring
- your business name and logo displayed on the website (www.edalecountryday.org.uk)
- your business name and logo displayed on our event programme (given to all our Country Day visitors)
- 2 complimentary tickets to the event on Sunday
There are a number of ways you can get involved through sponsorship of our Country Day:
- Donating money – any donation is gratefully received. The average donated is £60 (unless sponsoring a specific display) but we are very grateful for any amount you feel able to donate.
- Donating products or vouchers for the raffle.
- Supporting the cost of a display / exhibition – we have a number of displays throughout the day such as the Falconry and Brass Band. The cost of these ranges from £250 – £590. If you would be interested in supporting us with one of these displays, we would place your company logo alongside the display details in our advertising, programme and PA announcements.
- Supporting the cost of the Marquee – The giant marquee costs us £2600 and is an integral part of the day for our “Craft & Tea Tent”. You may wish to support us with a donation towards the cost of the marquee.
We hope this year’s event will offer: a fell race, tempting produce and craft stalls, archery, a caving tunnel,
demonstrations in country crafts including a blacksmith, ferret races and a fantastic falconry display. We also have plenty for children with main ring events, an activity tent hosted by the schools, a reptile handling tent. There will also be live music from local bands. Refreshments are always a highlight, with a beer tent, a BBQ with locally farmed meats and a notoriously delicious tea and cake tent run by our village volunteers. The Fell Race alone attracts over 400 participants.
